2016 Mid-Atlantic Conference of the AWRA

AWRA and the sections of the Mid-Atlantic region are committed to fostering interdisciplinary communication among persons of diverse backgrounds working on any aspect of water resources. The Conference includes three special sessions, more than 40 oral presentations, two free field tours and a number of poster presentations that include a wide range of water resources topics to interest practitioners, researchers and students from a variety of disciplines. Our goal is to provide an interesting and informative program that will provide attendees with lessons and tools to apply in their region.

**STUDENTS PLEASE NOTE**

Student volunteers are eligible to register at a reduced price ($80), regardless of registration date. In order to qualify for the Student discount, students must agree to volunteer during the event. Volunteer tasks will include assisting with the registration table, helping exhibitors, providing directions and information to attendees, general set up, and general clean up. Student volunteer registrations are limited to 10 Students so hurry up and register!

Here are some of the possible duties expected of students who register as a Student Volunteer for the 2016 MAC ($80). Jennalee Fede is the Student Volunteer Coordinator and will reach out to the students once they register:

 

Student Volunteer Duties
-Vendor Setup
-Greeter
-Registration desk
-Conference Packet assembly
-Directions
-Assisting exhibitors
-Help with setup/organization of the Scavenger Hunt
-Help during concurrent sessions (collect presentation slides on thumb drives)
-Help with getting people to and from tours (outside of Chase Center)
-Early arrival on Thursday 9/15
