Creating the Perfect Storm Water

ABSTRACT:
A perfect storm is an event in which a rare combination of circumstances drastically aggravates the event. Stormwater, wastewater, drinking water are all interconnected and adverse environmental consequences are impacted by issues such as: land use practices, industrial development, and economic constraints. This presentation will present a paradigm that describes the principles of environmental contamination and the overarching approaches that can be used to mitigate environmental contamination. The paradigm will be discussed in the context of the hydrologic cycle. This will be followed by four case studies:
