Topic:  Environmental Presence, Fate and Removal of Emerging Contaminants from Water

Featured Speaker:  Dr. Rominder Suri, Dir., Water and Environment Technology Center, Dept. of Civil and Env. Eng., Temple University

WET Center engineers and scientists investigate emerging contaminants utilizing microbial, chemical, physical, hydrologic, and mathematic approaches.  These investigations generate scientific information about levels, fate, transport, ecological and health impacts, improved detection and monitoring capabilities, pollution prevention, new cost-effective treatment technologies and optimization of existing operations at both wastewater and drinking water treatment plants.
